Thrifty Goodness

I love shopping.  I've always loved shopping.  One of the best things about shopping is the "shopping buzz" you get when you score a great deal.  There's nothing better than the feeling you get when you feel like you've gotten the steal of the century, be it on clothing, furniture or a thrift-store find.  Now don't worry, I'm not in debt up to my eyeballs, but I do love a great bargain and I definitely try to get my "fix" at  least once a week, whether it's at an estate-sale or thrift-store or TJ Maxx or the mall.  A few of my favorite finds, in no particular order:

The most beautiful wardrobe trunk for only $15 - what a steal.  The original hangers and drawers are inside (but my husband accidentally locked it - so no pictures are available!).  I'm getting a piece of glass cut for the top to use as a coffee table in my family room.

I just love old shoe molds .  I've found these at flea-markets and antique shops and have never spent more than $8.  Three of anything looks like a collection once you put it in a glass container.

I found this at an estate sale and was told that it was used to make designs on wallpaper.  It's a  neat old piece that I keep on my bookshelves...love the rustic look.

This is an old traveling teachers desk.  It folds up and there's a chalkboard on the bottom.  The top portion scrolls through all sorts of different lessons, handwriting, botany, check-writing, etc.  For some reason, I adore this and had to have it.

Oftentimes, I have a place in mind when I buy things, but not always.  Do you buy first, decide later or do you always know exactly what you're going to do with your treasures?
